If you are adding storage capacity to an existing Blue Ion project, each enclosure or battery module must be within 0.5 VDC of the rest of the system before you can commission the entire system.
If any component of the system is outside of this parameter, you must bring it into compliance or you risk permanently damaging the system. This type of damage is not covered under the warranty and is considered to be “improper use, testing, or installation” as detailed in Schedule B of the Warranty Details.
See the following guidelines for adding battery modules or adding battery cabinets in parallel. You will need the Blue Ion 2.0 Installation Manual on hand as well as the list of tools called out in the manual.
